Combining state of the art machinery with cutting edge design.
Learn moreWe are capable of producing in excess of 30,000 metres of fabric each week, employing both the Dornier Jacquard and Picanol Dobby weaving machines.
Contact usOur production is enhanced and complimented by the installation of the latest LUWA air conditioning and dust extraction system, which not only has a direct impact on quality, but also has the advantage of significantly improving the working environment.
Using the combined experience of the S Dawes weaving team and our automated inspection facility, the quality control procedures adopted by the company, which embrace every stage of production from the sourcing of yarns, through to despatch of fabrics, ensure the high quality product our customers demand.
Working closely with our production team, we are always looking at sourcing new yarns which has lead to us weaving fibres such as cashmere, hemp and bamboo alongside our cotton, linen and viscose.
As a company we are always researching and developing new products. We invest heavily in design and sampling to achieve what our customers require and also to develop our own ranges.
We have design technology to convert any design into weaving plans to turn them into fabric , including NED Graphics and the Apso Cad Design System.
Design plays an integral part in developing new business and is vital in creating new products, ranges and colour ways with existing customers. We are able to sample short runs and to offer in-house help with sampling.
Our designers have many years experience in the textile industry. Every day brings a new challenge, therefore every day is different. One day we might be designing for the catwalk, then next for a sofa. Our product range is so diverse, that it offers variety on a daily basis.
GalleryUsing the latest CAD software, we are able to translate ideas and sketches into beautiful Jacquard woven fabrics. With our extensive weave knowledge we can take a new idea from concept to final product in a relatively short time scale. On occasion we have been known to take a design from paper to fabric in less than 1 day.
Learn moreWhilst we are always researching and developing new products, we are also busy working to customer briefs, creating fabrics for their new season collections.
